Gojjo Restaurant and Bar is located in the premises of the old “Cherry Tree Tavern,” built in the late 1800s when much of the area was still farmland.
Baltimore Avenue (also called Baltimore Pike), was the main road connecting Philadelphia with Baltimore, and the Cherry Tree Tavern was a favorite stopping place for travelers.

Today, Gojjo Restaurant and Bar still serves many travelers who come to Philadelphia and the University City District for business or study. And now that the neighborhood has become much more populated than when the Cherry Tree Tavern was created, Gojjo has turned into a favorite place among local residents for dinner, refreshments and entertainment. Come join us at Gojjo!
