About Gojjo

Gojjo (pronounced “Go – Joe”), is an Ethiopian term for cottage or hut. It literally means a house for comfort, hospitality and love. We invite you to experience our unique cultural blend of food, atmosphere and service.

Authentic Ethiopian cuisine at very reasonable prices is featured at Gojjo Restaurant and Bar. Injera, the spongy bread made from teff grain and the staple food of Ethiopia, accompanies all entrees. Gojjo serves up good food and good times. A long, welcoming wooden bar overlooks Baltimore Avenue. A courtyard, outside deck and large televisions provide many areas for dining and relaxation.

Gojjo Restaurant and Bar is located in Philadelphia’s University City District – Baltimore Avenue Retail Corridor. The #34 trolley line runs every ten minutes on Baltimore Avenue, and free street parking is available on the avenue and within easy walking distance.

Gojjo has a casual dress code. We accept Mastercard, Visa, AmEx, cash and debit cards.
